India Clears $3.4 Billion Aid to Firms for Subsidized LPG Sales

India’s cabinet on Friday approved a one-time payout of 300 billion rupees ($3.4 billion) for state-run fuel retailers to compensate them for selling liquefied petroleum gas to poor households at subsidized rates.
