Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick says it's "crystal clear" that President Donald Trump needed to fire the former Bureau of Labor Statistics chief. “So they need new leadership in BLS, that’s for sure. They need new tech in BLS, that’s for sure. And Donald Trump needs to rely upon the numbers. America needs to rely upon the numbers,” Lutnick said on "Bloomberg Surveillance." BLS said it was having technical difficulties ahead of the August employment report this morning. Trump fired Erika McEntarfer after the employment report for July was released.
